PRODUCT REVIEW: TINY BITES FOOD SHEARS
Cut your baby's food into bite-sized pieces with ease using Tiny Bites Food Shears. These BPA-free scissors allow moms and dads to safely, easily and efficiently cut their child's food into small pieces to ensure safe consumption. Tiny Bites Food Shears also comes with a safety cover so the scissors won't rip up the insides of any bags and they'll always stay clean. You're probably thinking you can cut or rip up your child's food into little pieces and so did we. However, Tiny Bites will help keep the process sanitary, and it works well on grapes which aren't easily diced when your out and about.
"My husband Ed and I created Tiny Bites Food Shears because every parent we knew, including us, had meal time angst and dinner table battles regardless of the age of their child," says Anila Nitekman, president of Tiny Bites, Inc.
Each pack comes with two pairs of scissors that are equipped with cutlery-grade stainless steel blades. You can also toss them into the dishwasher for easy clean-up, and if you're traveling abroad, the scissors are also allowed on planes. You really can't complain since two pairs of scissors only costs you $9.99. Tiny Bites also includes a list of feeding tips during mealtimes on their website!

THE BABBLE REVIEW: TINY BITES FOOD SHEARS MAKES FEEDING TIME FASTER AND EASIER!
When I first got my package of Tiny Bites Food Shears in the mail — basically scissors for baby food — I was skeptical. Another clever, yet unnecessary product. A fork and a knife don’t work because…? Well I am here to tell you I was wrong. Very wrong. I have a 12-month-old who is right in the baby food to adult food transition, where we can pretty much feed him what we eat — only cut up. Really, really small. And you know what? I’m honestly glad I stumbled on this product, as it’s already gotten much, much use.
Don’t get me wrong, this isn’t to replace a fork and a knife, but there are certain foods that are just easier to snip with scissors. (For example: Pasta! Grapes!) In fact, the other day I was cutting up cooked carrots at my mother’s and wished I had this little tool with me. The downside: People might look at you like you’re nuts at a restaurant. But, hey, if it saves me the frustration of cutting up a green pepper with one free hand, stare all you want.
Why not just use a regular scissor? Well Tiny Bites has cutlery-grade stainless steel blades (basically knives in scissor form), a child-proof blade cover, and are BPA- and lead-free.
Do you need this? Nah. You can manage. Will it make your life easier? Your feeding prep time faster? Absolutely. This is a product I’ll pass on to my girlfriends, for sure. Plus, it’s only $9.99 for a pack of two, so you can’t really go wrong.

MACARONI HANDY DANDY
Let me introduce you to the little pair of scissors that has made my life infinitely easier. Tiny Bites food shears contain a cutlery-grade stainless steel blade that allows you to quickly cut your toddler's food into perfect bite-size pieces. Ok, I know what you're thinking. Why on earth would I need scissors to cut my kid's food when I have perfectly functional knives that could do the same thing? I have one word for you - ravioli. Have you ever tried to cut ravioli into bite-sized pieces? When I attempted it with a knife, it devolved into one of those "before" scenarios you see in late-night infomercials. The filling slipped out, leaving a slimy lump that was far too messy to be picked up by my daughter Sadie's little fingers. With Tiny Bites, I simply snip the ravioli into bite-size pieces and the filling stays neatly tucked inside. Tiny Bites are also great for tubular pastas like penne and rigatoni, which are nearly impossible to cut with a regular knife. They also work well on pizza, grapes, green beans and hot dogs - i.e., foods that tend to slip across the counter if you try to cut them with a regular knife. I use Tiny Bites to make grilled cheese or waffle strips and recently have started to create what has become Sadie's new favorite food - broccoli "lollipops" (yes, my child thinks broccoli is a delicious treat - for now!). The shears have a comfort spring to assist in cutting thicker foods like steak, and there's even an inch ruler on the blade if you're persnickety about sizing (I'm not). They're a great value too. For $10.99, you get two pairs of Tiny Bites, so you can keep one at home and take the other one out to restaurants or leave it at Grandma's house. Happy eating!

MOM CENTRALOctober 28, 2008
Combining fun and function, Tiny Bites Food Shears are the answer to every parents’ food-cutting dilemmas.
This incredibly clever product allows parents to safely and efficiently cut their child’s food into small pieces that ensure safe consumption. The idea came from Ed and Anila Nitekman, who found themselves dreading having to cut up their son's food with a knife and a fork every meal and found the perfect solution.
Tiny Bites are ideal for cutting grilled chicken, vegetables, fruit, grilled cheese or any of your child’s favorite foods. One of my favorite uses of the shears is cutting pizza - unlike a knife and fork or pizza wheel, these scissors cut easily, cleanly, and much more quickly. Designed with safety in mind, these cutlery-grade scissors also include a protective blade cover and comfort spring to assist in cutting thicker foods. In order to measure each bite, an inch ruler is provided on the blade. Tiny Bites are great for all ages, too! Siblings will love assisting their parents in food preparation by using these fun food shears instead of a knife. (Plus, they come in sets of two, making it even easier to enlist a helping hand.) Make your child’s meal and snack times fun by adding some creativity to their food; one mom, for instance, uses Tiny Bites to cut her toddlers pancakes into letters of the alphabet. With Tiny Bites, meal time can finally be a fun event that kids (and parents) look forward to!

MOM AND DAD INVENT PERFECT TOOL FOR MAKING QUICK BABY-SIZE SNACKS
All parents know what a pain it can be to slice up food into baby and toddler size bites. So one mom and dad decided to do something about it. They invented Tiny Bites ($10.99 for 2 pairs, tinybites.com).
These are simple, easy to use food scissors. They have a little ruler on the blade so you know how big you're making stuff.
I've been using these for about a week now and I love them! They're great on everything. But my favorite use so far is using them to quickly cut up spaghetti!
The fastness of food prep that comes along with using Tiny Bites has meant less whining in my house. And that is priceless!

LIL SUGAR, MOMMY'S LITTLE HELPERMay 27, 2008
A stickler for pint-size nuggets, I was tired of sawing away with the old fork and knife every time my tot was ready to dine. Luckily, a product called Tiny Bites ($11 for 2 pairs) makes the job of portioning easier. Lending a helping hand with their cutlery-grade, stainless-steel scissors, the nifty sheers are no bigger than my hands making them convenient for meals on the go. Cold pizza, chicken, and grapes are no contest for the clippers as they snip at a moment's notice. To ensure my diaper bag doesn't end up in shreds, the creators of Tiny Bites put a child–proof protective sleeve over the lil cutters.
